Le Conquet, its port, its beaches...
4 km from Hotel Vent d’Iroise
Less than 10 minutes’ drive from the hotel, Le Conquet was a privateers’ port before becoming a fishing port. It is a seaside town full of character on the Iroise sea. The town occupies a delightful site which can be discovered mainly from Pointe de Kermovan. Find out all about its history on the discovery trail in the town centre - ‘Five Centuries of Stones and Sea’ - which can be downloaded from Le Conquet Municipal Tourist Office site.
If you prefer to make the most of the sea and the sun, Le Conquet, which is also an environmentally friendly ‘Station Verte’ resort, is the perfect place to spend a day at the beach. Seven beaches await, including some with a ‘Pavillon Bleu’ rating: Les Sablons Blancs, a beautiful 2.5 km long sandy beach, as well as Portez, Porz Liogan, Le Bilou, and La Grève bleue…
Le Conquet is also the ideal place to set sail for the islands of Ouessant and Molène (book a trip with one of the two ferry companies).
